초록
The proliferation of unmanned aerial systems presents unprecedented challenges to contemporary air defense architectures, necessitating innovative technological and doctrinal solutions. This study examines the integration strategies of directed energy weapons in counter-unmanned aerial system operations through comprehensive analysis of three distinct technological approaches: high power microwave systems, laser-based defense systems, and AI-integrated autonomous platforms. The research employs multi-case comparative methodology utilizing publicly available operational data, technical specifications, and deployment experiences from 2020-2025. Key findings demonstrate that high power microwave systems achieve optimal effectiveness against swarm threats through simultaneous multi-target engagement capabilities, while laser systems excel in precision individual target engagement scenarios. Israeli Iron Beam systems represent the world's first operational laser weapon deployment, achieving engagement costs of $2.50-$3.50 per intercept compared to conventional interceptor costs of $40,000-$150,000 per intercept. AI-integrated systems provide superior situational awareness and network coordination capabilities for distributed defense operations. The analysis reveals that successful directed energy weapon integration requires fundamental paradigmatic shifts from traditional point defense concepts toward adaptive, multi-layered defense architectures that leverage artificial intelligence for optimal resource allocation. The study contributes frameworks for evaluating directed energy weapon integration across technological, operational, economic, and doctrinal dimensions, providing strategic insights for defense planners addressing asymmetric aerial threats.참고문헌 (0)
