현대 전장 환경에서 드론 기술의 급속한 발전은 기존 군사 교리에 근본적 변화를 요구하고 있다. 본 연구는 호주 Ghost Bat 프로그램을 벤치마크로 하여 한반도 환경에 특화된 다중군집 전장 감시 체 계를 제안한다. 설계과학 방법론을 기반으로 전략-전술-전장의 3계층 아키텍처를 개발하였으며, 각 계 층은 Ghost Bat급 고성능 무인기, 중형 COTS 드론, 소형 COTS 드론으로 구성된다. 호주의 4억 달러 투자 사례와 미군 Replicator 프로그램 분석을 통해 경제적 타당성을 검증하였으며, 한반도의 산악 지 형과 전자전 환경에 대응하는 특화 요소를 반영하였다. 본 연구는 이질적 플랫폼의 계층적 통합을 통한 시너지 효과를 체계적으로 분석하여 국방 현대화에 기여할 수 있는 실용적 프레임워크를 제시한다.

The rapid advancement of drone technology in modern warfare environments demands fundamental changes to existing military doctrines. This study proposes a multi-swarm battlefield surveillance system tailored to the Korean Peninsula environment, benchmarking Australia’s Ghost Bat program. Employing design science methodology, we developed a three-tier architecture comprising strategic, tactical, and battlefield layers, utilizing Ghost Bat-class high-performance UAVs, medium-sized COTS drones, and small COTS drones respectively. Economic feasibility was validated through analysis of Australia’s $400 million investment case and the U.S. Replicator program. The design incorporates specialized elements addressing the Peninsula’s mountainous terrain and electronic warfare environment. This research systematically analyzes synergistic effects through hierarchical integration of heterogeneous platforms, presenting a practical framework that can contribute to defense modernization. The proposed system demonstrates superior structural performance compared to single-platform approaches while ensuring cost-effectiveness through COTS technology utilization.
