This study aims to analyze the historical development process of the Republic of Korea military NCO system and propose future-oriented innovation measures in the era of digital transformation. The research systematically examines the evolution of the NCO system from its establishment in the 1950s to the present, with particular attention to the strengthening of its status as professional military personnel since the 2000s. Changes in the modern military environment and the demographic cliff phenomenon due to low birth rates demand fundamental innovation in the NCO system. To address these challenges, this study suggests policy measures including the modernization of leadership development programs, reformation of education systems for strengthening digital capabilities, and introduction of NCO competency certification systems. The study holds policy implications in that it derives specific institutional improvement measures, such as securing excellent personnel through academic-military agreements, standardization of education curricula, and expansion of long-term service ratios.참고문헌 (0)
