초록

본 연구는 대한민국의 군 인력 감소 문제를 다각도로 분석하고, 지속 가능한 대응 전략을 모색하는
데 목적이 있다. 저출산과 고령화로 인한 인구 구조 변화는 군 인력 확보에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있으
며, 이는 국가 안보에 중대한 위협이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 군 인력 감소의 원인과 영향을 진단하고,
국내외 사례 분석을 통해 효과적인 대응 방안을 제시하였다. 군사 혁신과 기술 발전, 국방 개혁을 통한 지
속 가능한 발전, 사회적 합의 형성 등이 핵심적인 전략으로 제안되었다. 본 연구는 대한민국의 군 인력 감
소 문제에 대한 종합적 이해를 도모하고, 미래지향적 국방 정책 수립에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study aims to analyze the problem of military manpower reduction in South
Korea from various perspectives and explore sustainable response strategies. Demographic
changes due to low birth rates and an aging population have a direct impact on securing
military personnel, posing a significant threat to national security. This study diagnoses the
causes and effects of the military manpower reduction and presents effective countermeasures
through the analysis of domestic and international cases. Military innovation and technological
advancement, sustainable development through defense reform, and the formation of social
consensus were proposed as key strategies. This study is expected to promote a comprehensive
understanding of the military manpower reduction problem in South Korea and contribute to
the establishment of future-oriented defense policies.
