본 연구는 급변하는 안보환경 속에서 대한민국 국방정책의 발전 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 북한 의 핵･미사일 위협 고도화와 주변국 간 군사적 긴장 증대는 우리 군의 대비태세 강화를 요구하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국방개혁의 필요성과 현황, 한미동맹 강화 방안, 국방혁신4.0의 추진과제를 중심으로 국방정책 발전 방안을 제시한다. 특히 첨단과학기술을 기반으로 한 전력 증강과 한미 연합작전태세 확 립의 중요성을 강조하며, 지속가능한 국방개혁을 위한 정책적 제언을 제공한다.

This study seeks to explore development strategies for the national defense policy of the Republic of Korea amid a rapidly changing security environment. The advancement of North Korea's nuclear and missile threats and the escalation of military tensions among neighboring countries necessitate the strengthening of our military's preparedness posture. Accordingly, this study presents defense policy development measures focusing on the necessity and current status of defense reform, strategies for strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance, and the implementation tasks of Defense Innovation 4.0. In particular, it emphasizes the importance of force enhancement based on advanced science and technology and the establishment of ROK-U.S. combined operational readiness, while providing policy recommendations for sustainable defense reform.
